SAT or ACT for the class of 2028?

Sophomore planning ahead. I'm better at math than reading and I hate time pressure. I heard the ACT changed. Which one?

Both are fine and colleges treat them equally. Take an official full practice test of each and compare.
Current setup: the digital SAT is adaptive, about two hours and fourteen minutes, with a calculator allowed on all of math. The ACT was shortened in 2025, the science section is now optional for most students, and there is more time per question than there used to be. If time pressure is your main issue, the newer ACT and the SAT both give more time per question than older versions.
