typed A's for two classes that were actually B's on my usc EA app
ok so i submitted usc EA last week and was rereading my app tonight and i put A for AP chem and precalc sem 1. they were a B+ and a B. i did the grades part at like 1am on oct 31 and i honestly don't know if i did it on purpose or just autopiloted from my sem 2 grades
is it a big deal for 2 classes? will they even see it before my transcript? i feel sick

Also loop in your school counselor so they are not surprised if USC asks them to confirm the transcript.
Yes, it matters, and the fix is simple if you do it now.
Whatever you typed into the application is compared with your official transcript, and USC sees an official transcript before anyone enrolls. A mismatch found later, accidental or not, is the kind of thing that leads to an offer being rescinded. Whether it was two classes or one does not change that: both show up the moment the transcript and your entries are side by side.
What to do this week:
1. Email USC Admission from the address on your application. Include your full name, date of birth and USC ID.
2. Say plainly that you made an error entering your grades and list each correction: course, term, what you entered, the correct grade.
3. Keep it short. No long apology, no explanation of 1am.
4. If you entered the same grades anywhere else (another Common App school, an SRAR record), correct those too.Done before decisions, a correction like this is usually a non-event. A B and a B+ in AP Chem and Precalc will not sink a strong application. A discrepancy discovered after you are admitted is a much bigger problem.
Email them today. This is fixable.
