Testing
SAT or ACT: which test should you take?
How to choose between the SAT and ACT using timed practice tests and the current formats of each exam, then build a preparation plan that fits your strengths.
SourceBased on what we at Aristo learned from the Stanford admissions office.

Selective colleges that consider test scores read the SAT and ACT on equal terms, as readers did in the Stanford office we learned from, converting between them through published concordance tables when they want to compare. Parents sometimes assume the opposite, that one test is quietly preferred, and choose on rumor, while others follow a rule of thumb about science that the redesign of both tests has overtaken.
The choice belongs to the student, and it should be made on fit. How to judge that fit has changed more in the last few years than most families realize.
