Rigor
How do colleges view the IB diploma and predicted grades?
How selective US colleges read an IB diploma, including course rigor, Higher Level subject choices and predicted grades, and how to choose your HL subjects.
SourceBased on what we at Aristo learned from the Stanford admissions office.

Admissions readers at selective colleges are assigned territories and trained on the curricula of the schools in them, and the IB is common enough in the United States and abroad that it is familiar ground. In the Stanford office we learned from, three rules governed how an IB file was read, and they are still the usual practice.
IB families tend to worry about the wrong thing. The fear is that a reader will misread an unfamiliar transcript, while the choice that most shapes how an IB file reads is made well before senior year, often without anyone mentioning admissions at all.
