How to write college supplements without repeating yourself
How to use each college supplement to show a different side of your interests and work while keeping the application coherent and avoiding repeated stories.
SourceBased on what we at Aristo learned from the Stanford admissions office.

In Stanford's admissions office, a single application could run to nine separate pieces of writing, while other colleges asked for a few or just one, and counts change every year, so check each college's current prompts. Supplement season brings a particular dread. Your main essay is already about what you want to study, and now one college asks for several more pieces. If everything returns to your field, you worry about sounding repetitive and staged. If everything wanders, the reader loses the thread of who you are, and a scattered file is hard for anyone to champion in committee. There is a way through both problems, and it starts by planning the whole set at once.
