Does submitting your college application early help?
When submitting weeks before a deadline matters, such as rolling admission or priority dates and when the extra time is better spent improving your application.
SourceBased on what we at Aristo learned from the Stanford admissions office.

Submitting a college application weeks before the deadline rarely helps at Stanford or most other selective colleges, and the reason lies in how admissions readers organize their work. Every autumn some students submit early in the hope that an early arrival signals eagerness or catches a fresher reader. It does neither.
The misunderstanding is common and mostly harmless, until it shapes how a student spends the last weeks before a deadline. It is also cheap to correct once you see how a reader's season actually runs, and there are a few colleges where speed genuinely pays, so knowing the exceptions matters as much as knowing the rule.
