How to list dual enrollment classes on the Common App
Where dual enrollment and college courses go on the Common App, and when extra context helps admissions readers see academic work you did beyond high school.
SourceBased on what we at Aristo learned from the Stanford admissions office.

Readers in Stanford's admissions office, the office we learned from, went to the transcript first and spent most of their remaining time on the activities page, so the Common App's section for college courses taken in high school got far less attention than families assume. Most students enter a dual enrollment class or a summer course on a university campus there and move on.
It is the correct place, and it is also a place a reader in season may skim straight past, which means one of the strongest lines a student can have may barely register. Keeping the course there is right. What readers in that office recommended doing in addition is less obvious, and it changes what the course says about the student.
