University of Miami testing policy for students applying in 2026-27
Test scores required. UM requires SAT/ACT scores as part of the first-year application; self-reported scores are accepted. The testing-policy page is still headed 'Test Scores Required for Fall 2026' and says the requirement began with Fall 2026 applicants. It lists exceptions: performance-based programs (for example Frost School of Music performance majors), Architecture (applicants without scores submit a portfolio), and some students from schools outside the US.
